'Why Should We Care?'—What to Do About Declining Student Empathy

When you design your course, do you think about adding soft skills to increase perspective taking and empathetic concern? This article makes a point that teaching interpersonal skills in the classroom can increase empathy in students. 

My classroom experience with students mirrors that of the writer.  Do you find students today different?  Are you changing your teaching as a result?  Do you incorporate interpersonal skills into your curriculum?
