Great academic workplaces are filled with people who believe that their jobs are important to the college, that the institution is important to the community, and that the college gives them the freedom to do that job well. These findings came from a survey by the Chronicle of Higher Education given to institutions across the nation. The result was a list of institutions that are considered exceptional in areas ranging from culture to collaborative governance, compensation and benefits. How do you think your institution rates?
