Increasingly, learners default to the Internet as their primary research tool, rather than using the library. This, in of itself, presents many challenges, as students may use un-cited and unreliable sources as the basis for various research initiatives and assignments. This module discusses these challenges and relates this issue to how libraries are using digital content to foster improved research skills.

As our society becomes more mobile, the importance of mobile information increases each day. With every assignment, I encourage each of my students to utilize electronic resources. I understand that my of my students are non-traditional students who multitask daily. My students value electronic resources more than traditional resources. From an academic view point, I believe the students understand the kind of electronic resource they use for their assignments. I inform my students that in my class, wiki resource are unacceptable because of their questionable credibility.
