The first question answered is how does Social Media affect me? After all, while there isn't' an "I" in team, there is a "ME" in Social Media. This Archived Guest Lecture explores how the socialization of connections and content impacts your role as an educator. Twitter, Facebook, Wikis, Blogs, while it sounds like everyone is using them, and definitely discussing their potential, we need clarity on what they are and how they can help us improve the collaboration and connectivity between information, peers, and students. While younger generations may have a head start in using social networks and tools, it is the role of the educator to understand how these new services can apply to education and communication.
